Art & Faith Creative Retreats in 2020...

fullsizeoutput_1213d.jpeg

Thank you to everyone who has been so patient with us on the dates for our Art & Faith Creative Retreats for next year! We’ve been working on things while I’ve been extremely sick, (thankfully Rebecca’s been home to help) and at the same time our first grand baby came into the world this week! She is so precious and I can’t wait until I’m better and can hold her and kiss her!

What a pure blessing it is to watch your own children become parents and to get to enjoy this next phase of life… as a Grammie!!

But back to the dates for 2020… because we are SO excited to be sharing NEW things for next year!

1. Our first Art & Faith Retreat is going to be in France & Belgium… in the Springtime!

April 3 - 13th, 2020

After much thought and input from all of you, we have decided to plan this trip for April 3 - 13th. Yes, that does include Easter in Paris! It was an overwhelming amount of you that wanted to be in Paris at Easter so we decided to make that a part of this retreat! For those of you who want to be home for Easter but still want to enjoy this trip, we will certainly accommodate that and have the option to do that in the pricing.

We know with the recent events at Notre Dame, it is a very sad reality that she will not be where we will enjoy church next Easter, but we have found an Easter service on the Seine and we have a feeling next Easter in Paris will be very special no matter where we are.

I can’t get this image out of my head, with the cross amongst the “ashes” and what the people of France must be feeling right now. But to see this image bring so much HOPE and I know Rebecca and I are looking forward to being back there to share what true HOPE is, and enjoy this time with all of you in France & Belgium. We have some special things planned for the 10 days we are together and that includes getting out into the countryside of France as well as Belgium!

2. Our second Art & Faith Retreat is going to be back in Bellagio, but it is going to be a bit different than usual!

June 6 - 13th, 2020

Yes, Lake Como, Italy is stunningly beautiful and our retreats there will always be just as beautiful, but we have a heart to scale this retreat down just a bit (in size and price) to make it more affordable and to offer this specific retreat as an “oasis for the soul…” a time of restoring the soul. (Psalm 23:3 & Matthew 11:28). We say that because every year we pray about the theme of the retreat and the Lord always provides that theme. It’s been HOPE, JOY and this year it’s ABIDE, but next year for this specific retreat the Lord has given me the word “HEALING.”

We’ve shared this idea with a few friends and really feel the Lord calling us to do this, so we can’t wait to share more with you soon! This setting is so beautiful, we really feel that it’s the perfect place to come away for a while and “Be still.” We are still praying about what this is going to look like, but we know it will not be an intense workshop or counseling session. It will be more about time spent well for our souls… walking/hiking in nature, allowing this place and time to let the Lord work on our hearts and growing deeper in our faith through His Word and the connections He makes during this time… and we can’t wait to see what He will do!

3. Our 3rd retreat will be back in Bellagio, for a MARRIAGE RETREAT!

September 19 - 26, 2020

Yes, you heard that right! This is something that has been on my heart since the very beginning. If you’ve been here with us before, then you know how romantic this place is… and you may have even asked us if we were ever going to do a “couples retreat.” Well, that time is NOW!

We have a very special couple that will be joining us, and I am so excited to see what the Lord will do through them during this time. Again, this is not some intense marriage workshop, but it will be a time to enjoy getting away with your spouse and taking this precious time to fall in love again.

I know you will LOVE Pastor Tim and his wife Sheila and truly be touched by their hearts and words of encouragement. This is the perfect opportunity to get away with your love and enjoy this romantic fall setting in Italy, so don’t miss out!

We are working out all the details and pricing for these 3 retreats as we speak. Some of the hotels don’t have next year’s pricing yet, so we are waiting on those before we can go live with sign ups.

Our hope is to have everything LIVE on May 1st so you can sign up for all of our 2020 retreats on that day.

Hopefully this will give you some time to prayerfully consider joining us next year and plan for which one you would like to be a part of!

Thank you again to all of you who have joined one of our retreats, or are considering it. We truly feel so honored and blessed to be able to share this time with you!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to leave us a message up at the top under CONTACT US.

Hugs to all,

Laura McCollough

P.S. I wanted to add a few things on here today:

  1. Once I have the pricing from the hotels I can get the cost figured out and share that on here. That will definitely be before May 1st when the sign-up’s go LIVE so you have time to think about it and know if this will work for you.

  2. Yes, there will be ART at each retreat this year. I haven’t specified that in this blog post, but want to make it clear that our Art & Faith retreats will always have both of those elements regardless of the type of retreat it is. We strongly believe we are meant to be CREATIVE because we were CREATED by a CREATOR and that is a part of who we are at the core. So each time that may look different but that is always going to be a part of our retreats.

  3. We understand the marriage retreat is going to be two people from the same family paying for this retreat and that can get costly. Our hearts desire is to make this as affordable AND beautiful as possible, so that is why we decided to hold it in the fall. The costs go down on some things as well as the airfare, so we hope this will help in planning and budgeting for this retreat. That is also why we are giving you more than a year to make payments on this retreat and once you are signed up we will give you options for that to fit your budget.

I hope this helps with a few questions you may have, but always feel free to email us and we will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
