A Little about us...

Hi everyone!

I hope you are having a GREAT start to your Monday and Thanksgiving week.

I thought I’d take a moment to introduce ourselves to all our new followers. Thank you SO much for coming here and taking a look around. I know most of our new followers are coming here from Ruth Chou Simons Instagram and we thank you!

So let me share with you WHO we are and what our heart is behind what we do…

Art & Faith Creative is a mother/daughter team {Laura & Rebecca McCollough} that desires to come along side women to Gather & Encourage us to live a creative & faith filled life.

Our beginnings started in 2007 with a mixed-media kit club, A Kiss on the Chic, as well as teaching & designing for some of the scrapbook co’s. in the industry. In 2012 I hosted my first Creative Retreat in Bellagio, Italy & have had a heart for sharing this beautiful place ever since. In 2015 I felt the Lord leading me to make the retreats about Him & to create a community in which our creativity connects us to our Creator. Around this time our middle daughter Rebecca was feeling lead to focus on women’s ministry & she is currently at bible college seeking the Lord’s will for her life. She is a huge help in our retreats and she brings so much encouragement & joy to the women who attend.

Last year my husband & I started reading Mark Batterson’s “Draw the Circle” prayer challenge book & we believe through that the Lord lead us to move from California to Colorado to build a “Gathering Place” for His purposes. We are now about to break ground on that GOD sized dream & praying about what the future holds for that. We are also excited about becoming first time grandparents next April!

Next summer with be our 15th retreat & we are SO thankful for all the people we have met and become dear friends with along the way! We hope to meet you at one of our retreats & share the JOY of the Lord with you as you are refreshed & renewed in Him!

Here is a verse the Lord gave us as our theme for what we do…

Hebrews 20: 24 &25: “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to {GATHER} together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

This picture was taken last month in Bellagio, Italy as some of us were sketching and painting by the lake front at our retreat. This is truly one of the most beautiful and peaceful places to come near the Lord and we hope you can join us some day.
