I try to balance the week with all three and do feel I have accomplished this in our itinerary. There is also free time each day for everyone to enjoy other activities in the area like shopping, lounging by the pool, taking a hike in the mountains or many other options.

Some places in Europe are far from ADA-compliant, and the cobblestone streets and stairs do pose a problem for some disabilities. With that said, in some instances where women have had a hard time with walking, I can provide taxi service from one point to another, or I can organize a motorized scooter (like the kind in Walmart) that you can use most places in town and on the ferries. These would be at additional costs.

A non-refundable deposit per person is required to secure your registration. This sum will be applied to the price of the Event. If you are not able to attend, you may find someone to transfer your registration to that is of the same gender and we will refund you the money you’ve paid, minus the non-refundable deposit, once the transfer student has paid in full. In the event of cancellation by Art & Faith Creative, Inc., you will be allowed to use your deposits towards a future Art & Faith Creative Retreat, up to one year later.

Absolutely you are welcome to join us! The heart of my retreats is to gather women together to grow deeper in our faith as we spend time in God's Word and encourage each other in the love of Jesus Christ, and He alone gets the glory. There is no denomination affiliated with our retreats, and my only desire is to draw closer to the Lord through a biblical context of understanding, through scripture alone.

Travel Insurance is always strongly recommended, and once you register I will give you some options for companies that can provide it for your trip.

Each day there is free time to explore or unwind on your own. In addition, I always want to make sure you know that this is YOUR vacation and you are welcome to do whatever you want, as much or as little as you want. I just ask that if you are not planning to be at a specific activity you give me an advance notice so we are not waiting for you to get on a ferry to go somewhere.

Some retreats are women only and some can allow spouses. When we share a private villa or home, we've restricted it to only women. In other retreats there is flexibility and husbands, friends or family members can come. If they do not want to be a part of the art lessons, they would pay the retreat fee, minus $600, and be a part of everything else included in the week. We have had many women plan this retreat around a trip with their spouse, where their spouse would come towards the end of the week and they travel on together afterwards, or they make this the last part of their trip and they fly home while the wife is with us.

The only outdoor activities that I would say are "outdoorsy" would be our walks and they are not strenuous hikes. I do recommend everyone starts walking 3-6 months before this trip so you can enjoy our walks by the lake, but they are slow walks with stops along the way and not in any wooded areas. We are outside a lot, for devotional time in the morning, the gardens of beautiful villas on the lake and our special times lakefront to sketch or reflect. You do have the option of a cooking class or kayaking tour one afternoon, but any other outdoor activity would be on your own time.

Yes. I provide most of your art supplies, but once you are registered I will send out a welcome email that gives you an idea of how to plan for this retreat. When I have the classes planned a few months before the retreat, I will send out a supply list with everything listed.

“This was my 3rd trip with Laura and I'm already looking forward to the next one!!! I loved Vermont so much-the beautiful home, the beautiful fall foliage, the beautiful food. Most of all I enjoyed the other amazing women. Laura creates an environment for deep bonding in a short time. And it is so life-giving! My favorite times were sitting around the big table together in our jammies creating art and sharing our stories. Thank you, Laura, for letting God use you and your gifts to bless the world!”
