December 1st

I always am amazed when we arrive at December 1st each year! How did the days go by so fast in a year?

Still reading through the Psalms and I just love the heart of David.  He made major mistakes in his life, yet He still clinged to God, He knew God was His only hope and he believed with all his heart that God would always be there when He called on Him.

As we look back on this year and see that there may be a lot of things that we didn’t accomplish, difficult things we went through or regrets we may have, I hope we remember David and we cry out to God, our Rock and Redeemer!

Today rest in knowing there is Purpose and Direction in all our lives, and the journey may not look like we’d like it to... but we have a God that knows exactly who we are, our hearts and souls, and He loves us and gently leads us when we call upon His name.

For that I am so very grateful! Let’s embrace this beautiful Advent Season and not worry about the things we didn’t do or the things we hope we have time to do or even the way our house looks (we still haven’t decorated the tree and I’d rather be sitting on that bench) and focus on what Christ did and still does every single day for us!

Hugs,

Laura McCollough
