Monday Morning Encouragement...

“We love because he first loved us.”   1 John 4:19 

My Monday morning encouragement’s a little late today… but I wanted to share a quick message to everyone today that YOU are loved!

~ No matter where you are…
~ No matter what your circumstances are… 
~ No matter the hard things you’re going through…

God loves YOU, His mercy is for YOU, and His deepest desire is for YOU to come to Him. 

And YOUR deepest desires will be satisfied in the life-giving love of God. 

We’re all seeking something in life.  We’re all thirsting for something that satisfies.  In John 4 Jesus shares the life-giving “Living Water” with the woman at the well because He is showing ALL of us that our deepest needs are met IN HIM.  

We won’t find love in our possessions. It’s not found in power or control, and it will never be satisfied through the love of this world.

However, It IS in finding that only God’s LOVE fills the void in our hearts…  because He FIRST loved us.

We love and desire love because He first loved us, and put His love into our hearts.  Consider that today on St. Valentine’s Day, and every day going forward. 

I’ll leave you with this great quote from Blaise Pascal:

“What is it then that this desire and this inability proclaim to us, but that there was once in man a true happiness of which there now remains to him only; the mark and empty trace, which he in vain tries to fill from all his surroundings, seeking from things absent the help he does not obtain in things present? But these are all inadequate, because the infinite abyss can only be filled by an infinite and immutable Object, that is to say, only by God Himself.”
