Monday Morning Encouragement

Monday morning encouragement…

How do we handle disappointment in light of scripture? How can we rejoice in these disappointments, when we may not see the good?

This photo was taken in Paris years ago, but my disappointment is current, because I was supposed to be on a plane to France for an amazing trip (with the sweetest ladies) to Paris & Brugge this week. 💕

It’s hard sometimes to see good in the things we want to do, or want to have in our lives, that don’t come to fruition. We pray for healing that doesn’t happen, or a baby that never comes, a job that we don’t get… or a trip that falls apart bc of 🦠 rules. Maybe like me, you’ve had all these disappointments in life too; they’re real, they hurt, and they cant be shoved “under the carpet” as they used to say…

So maybe I can encourage you today with a few things I’ve learned over the years, and am currently being taught by the Lord (because I still obviously need to grow in this area😂)

  1. Don’t shove it under the carpet. Go to the Lord and confess your disappointments, and trust Him to meet you in them.

  2. Pray for the Lord to give you faith to see His ways are better than our ways. Pray for faith that sees Jesus as all satisfying!

  3. Seek counsel from godly women who will encourage you, pray with you, and lead you to God’s Word to help you have a change of heart.

  4. Ask for the Holy Spirit to guide you, and comfort you, as you trust in God’s promise to He will take care of you in all situations.

  5. Start your day in prayer and end your day in prayer, and let God handle everything in between. (Lay it all down friends)🙌🏻

Then we can rejoice like David and be praying exceedingly joyful! 💕

“Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling! Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy, and I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God.”  Psalm 43:3-4

Have a great day!
