I love my job...

This week I’m preparing our France retreat’s itinerary and it is one of my favorite things to do!

Getting to share the places I’ve come to love in these incredible cities, with a new group of women, is beyond my dreams of what I imagined I’d be doing at 53 years old!

It’s an ever greater blessing (and completely humbling and awe inducing realization that makes me cry just writing this) that the Lord has given me this job to do! If you know my story at all… I hate to fly and I really hate to speak in front of crowds.  So it’s an even bigger deal that I see my own weaknesses in this “job” He’s called me to do… because I know I’m just the vessel He works His will through.

I’ve shared before how I came to this realization the long way… but now I know it’s a ministry to point women to Jesus.  We’re just “setting the table” and He’s working His will out through our willingness to serve Him. It’s not about us, nor where we want to go or do.  It’s about letting go of our will and seeking His will for our lives. And that’s how a job becomes a ministry.  That’s how we can see the purposes of God in our jobs, no matter what our jobs are.

And these retreats I LOVE to plan are an amazing opportunity to gather around the world, create from a place of our connection of art and faith, and worship God together!

Here’s a few photos from past retreats in Paris. This years retreat is sold out but Italy is still open for next June, and we’re praying about going back to Paris, Lord willing, in 2024!

Have a great day everyone!

Hugs,

Laura
