Monday morning encouragement…

2023 style…

This year I want to encourage you to read God’s Word, because that is where we hear God speak.

Friends, we know social media and all kinds of influences have expanded our lives, we’ve heard so many things that may have sounded good…

made us feel good…

or tickled our ears…

But God’s voice is in the written word of God: The Bible

As I shared last Monday, I’ve gone down the paths of “how do I hear the voice of God?” I’ve read the books (whisper by Mark Batterson, etc.) done some strange journaling exercises, opened myself up to things NOT in the written word of God, seen scripture twisted and taken out of context… and I’ve been confused.

But God. 

In His grace and mercy, brought me back to scripture and sound doctrine.  He put me back in front of solid biblical teaching. What we know and understand about Jesus is vital friends! And yesterday at church, the message was just another confirmation that the Holy Spirit is always going to point us back to the truth in God’s Word.

So this year I want to share the sufficiency of the Bible with you.

I want to encourage you to be grounded in Gods Word…

to listen and obey it…

to share it in love and truth…

to walk according to it…

and to abide in it forever. 🙌🏻

“”This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.”  II John 1:6

Read II John this morning.  It’s only 13 verses, but so rich in love and truth.

Let us have genuine love that desires to be rooted in God’s Word.❤️🙌🏻
