Monday morning encouragement...

Friends, there is hope in the waiting, for those that put their trust in our faithful God.

This is what I’m learning this year, and although it’s not easy… it is so important for us to do. I could share much more on the waiting we’re going through right now, (and at some point I will) but trusting the Lord with every part of our lives is GOOD.

I know… Waiting’s not usually something we like doing.  Yet if we look back on our lives we’ll see we’ve waited for almost everything IN our lives. We’ve waited (or are still waiting) for marriage, children, our home, finances, health issues… the list goes on and on. And in that waiting I know there are a thousand different emotions we face: fear, sadness, anxiety… you name it.

So how can we learn to trust the Lord in the waiting? And how can we remind our hearts of His faithfulness throughout our lives?

Psalm 100:1-5 says this:

“Let the whole earth shout triumphantly to the Lord! Serve the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Acknowledge that the Lord is God. He made us, and we are his— his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and bless his name. For the Lord is good, and his faithful love endures forever; his faithfulness, through all generations.”

As I write this year’s devotional on God’s faithfulness, I am reminded of His timing.  His timing is not ours… and yes, there’s a lot of waiting in this life.  But, let us remind ourselves this morning that His faithful love endures throughout all generations… and His timing is always perfect. I’m sure you’ve seen it time and time again, like I have, His timing is so outside of our understanding, but it is GOOD. It always is.

I’m so excited to “unpack” this theme the Lord has given me to share this year: Found Faithful.

At our retreats this year we’ll be looking back on our lives and sharing how faithful He is. I’ll also be sharing some creative ways to “look back” and remind our hearts what God has done, so we can go forward in faith, sharing the testimony of what He is doing in our lives!

We have ONE apartment for June’s retreat and 2 apartments left for the October retreat. We’d love to have you join us as we gather and share this theme in beautiful Italy with you!

Have a great Monday everyone!💕
