Are you struggling right now??

Hey you, are you struggling with so much right now?

  • Maybe you’re feeling stuck with no sign of things changing…

  • Maybe you’re distraught by all that’s going on in our world…

  • Maybe what you thought your life would look like hasn’t happened…

  • Or quite possibly, you’re overwhelmed by all that has changed in your lifetime, (it’s a LOT, right?) and you’re confused where your life fits into the grand scheme of life…

Can I offer you some hope today?

I encourage you to read David’s Psalm below, that points you to the One who not only knows everything, He knows YOU.  The One who not only is everywhere, He is right there with YOU.  The One who not only created everything, He created YOU. Listen to the heart of David, sharing the REAL “Grand scheme” of life right here:

“O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways.

Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it.

Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.” Psalms 139:1-10

Read the whole chapter when you have time, it’s an incredible Psalm!

See, David knew that the true God cares. Unlike the people of David’s day who worshiped other “gods” who felt like their gods didn’t care… David knew that the TRUE God, the God who created the universe, formed you and I in our mother’s womb, is intimately involved in creation, all the way down to the every day of our lives. He knew that, like a child is comforted by their parents watchful care, we can trust in our good God that watches over us. We can trust that in His sovereignty and omnipresence, He is not limited to one place. His presence extends everywhere…  nothing can separate us from His love and care! (Read Romans 8)

  • Like David, we can have hope that God knows US just as much as He knew David.

  • Like David, we can be assured that God is with us in ALL our struggles, in ALL our doubts, and in ALL our overwhelming moments.

  • And like David, we can declare our hope in God, by accepting the free gift of salvation in Jesus Christ!

If you’re struggling with where you fit into this world, where you’re going after your life is done, or why this God I always talk about is so important… please know you can always reach out to me and share your thoughts with me. I’d love to encourage you to pray and ask God to show you His will for your life.

But know this right now:

God is not constrained by time, nor place. He is timeless, He is patient, and He is at work in all of creation; all the way down to our individual lives, and our daily moments. Those struggles we all have… He knows ALL of them, He cares about ALL of them, and He desires us to put it ALL in His loving hands.

2 Peter 3:9 reminds us: “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”

God’s delay shows how much His love is for us, but there is an expiration date.

So don’t delay friend. Invite Him into your life today. It doesn’t have to be in a chapel in Kentucky or a prayer meeting in Texas. God is moving everywhere on this planet and He is patiently waiting for you to see His great love for you today. And you can find Him right where you are.

And if you want to put your life (and eternity) into God’s hands today, here is a link to the most important question you can ask.

Here’s a great commentary on Psalm 139: Enduring Word Commentary on Psalm 139

I’ll be taking some time to write the retreat devotional this week, so I won’t be on IG much, but you are welcome to email me if you want to talk, need prayer or have any questions.

Hugs to all,
