My Favorite Travel Art Supplies

I just posted a YouTube video reviewing the travel art supplies I took to Italy a few weeks ago.

I thought it’d be helpful to go back over the ones I took and share how I thought about them. Maybe this will help you figure out what you’d like to bring with you on your next trip too!

So here's my thoughts on the art supplies I brought to Italy, and what I'm taking, and leaving behind, on the next trip. (actually I forgot to post this before we left for California, so this is after the fact now…)

You always learn what works for you in your travel supplies when you're out and about. Taking my journals, pencils, markers, qouache and other art supplies was a bit cumbersome, so here's what I'm taking next time.

Here’s my review on the art supplies I took to Italy with me.

I'll try to link everything again, but the last video has most of these items listed. Hope this helps all you creatives out there!

Links to the art supplies I found most helpful:

Yellow Tote Bag: https://amzn.to/3TZcF7j It comes in many different colors

Ecoline Markers: https://amzn.to/3W7ar8R This is just one set, there are many to choose from

Plastic Cat marker holder: Guiry's Art Store

Frog coin purse: Target

Caran D'Ache Pablo colored pencils: https://amzn.to/3W0Xddq This is a link to buy them individually. I like doing that so I don't have to buy a set with colors I'll never use. These are NOT water soluble.

Caran D’Ache Supracolor pencils: https://amzn.to/3Q7ABEt
These are water soluble.

Princeton Velvetouch Angled 1/4 Brush: https://amzn.to/4aRWbp3

Moleskin Sketchbook Journal: https://amzn.to/4aHnKB9 This is NOT watercolor paper, but it works great with markers, gouache, and other mixed media. Not sure how it works with watercolor paint.

Have a great day!

Hugs to all,

Laura McCollough
