Monday Morning Encouragement...

Monday Morning encouragement…

Fear
Anxiety
Discouragement

Are these emotions you’ve been feeling lately? Me too…

(stay with me a minute… it gets better)

I’ve been off social media for a little break, trying to breathe and finish some projects.  It’s been good to be quiet in my own space, but if I’m honest the world is in such a palpable divide that it’s hard not to feel it everywhere.

So how do we get past the fear and anxiety we may feel for a myriad of reasons right now?  How do we find a way to deal with the difficulties we face in an uncertain future?  How do we step out in boldness for Biblical truth in a world that is aggressively showing their hate for God and Christianity?

I don’t have this all figured out, believe me.

But… my desire is to live in the light of Jesus and walk as a child of God with YOU.  I’m talking today to those of you who have put your lives in the hands of Jesus.  Who know that our HOPE lies in the Lord and Him alone.  (If you don’t have this hope, please read to the end)

As children of God we can put everything in our lives: every stress, fear, anxiety, you name it… in the faithfulness of God!

We need to remind each other that we don’t live by understanding, or by this worlds wisdom… but my FAITH. And we can trust in God, regardless of our situations! (Proverbs 3:5-6)

God is not limited by:

~ our resources

~ our might

~ our understanding

~ our _____________ (you fill in the blank)

Listen, if we trust God for our eternal salvation, why aren’t we trusting Him with our daily situations? It’s so silly of us, right? We look at the Bible and there are so many examples of situations that seemed hopeless, yet GOD provided a way… in amazing ways! So why don’t we believe that for our lives? We can be assured, just like Moses, that even though we don’t see a way out, we KNOW God will make a way!

Let’s stand still and stand FIRM and watch God work friends!

He WILL see us through.

Today, this day, let us get our eyes off this world and onto Jesus!

Boy, I have so much more to say, and I feel a great encouragement to write more about living bolding in Christ… so I really need to get back to writing that book…

I’m going to leave you with a few Bible verses that have helped me lately.  I would encourage you to open to these wonderful treasures in God’s Word that will comfort you as well. I have a list of Psalms that I am reading lately, over and over:

Psalm: 27, 34, 37, 62, 63, 91, and 121.

Here are some other treasure I think you will love too:

“Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.” Isaiah 35:4

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

“The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:18

And if you want this confident assurance and hope, but you haven’t given your life to the Lord, please reach out to me or someone you know that does.  I truly couldn’t imagine going this life alone, especially in these days.  I would love to talk to you and share how you can have HOPE and eternal life in Jesus.

Hugs to all,

Laura McCollough
