Fall Retreat - October 7 - 14, 2023

Italy in the fall is an incredible delight! We’ve been to Lake Como at this time of year many times now, and it’s always such a beautiful surprise to see the fall colors against the backdrop of Italian architecture. Not only is it such a blessing to enjoy the colors of the season on the lake, but the food at this time of year really compliments the ambience we’re surrounded by… and it makes for an amazing week in Italy!

This October I want to share a story with you that I think may resonate with you as well. In the fall of 2018, I was right here on the lake, hosting another retreat. But this time I didn’t have my handy helpers (aka my daughters) and I felt out of place a bit. I was nervous I wasn’t going to be able to “do it all”… and I didn’t know if I would have time to be present with each woman who came. ( I always have a heart to make sure everyone is enjoying the retreat and getting all that they want out of their time in Italy.) Well, that week the Lord taught me a lesson that I want to delve into with YOU this year, right where I learned it the first time. You see, my daughters won’t be able to attend because they are in school yet again, so the timing feels right to share the story of the Lord showing me that it’s not about US… but what He wants to do through our willing hearts.

So let’s come together this fall and learn what God’s Word has to say about: “Setting the Table”

We will continue to share our theme this year of “Found Faith” but what better time to talk about serving others than in the fall, when the beauty of food and the setting of the season is ripe for the harvest!
